Founded by an Engineer, Maker and a Mentor, Mphethe Andries Mokoakoe AKA Shawa who graduated with a Computer Systems Engineering National Diploma from the Central University of Technology, Free State which has given him a well-balanced exposure in Light Current Electrical Engineering as well as in Information Technology and with the experience he has gained throughout a professional career spanning over 10 years. He began his career at Telkom, then Department of Communications, UCS Technology Services, Free State Department of Education, Paracon, and currently serve as a Field Application and Technical Support Engineer at RJ Connect.

Our Ideas
A community that is about people coming together to learn and have fun with robotics. It’s about bringing together people from different backgrounds such as Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and just about anyone else who would like to learn about and develop robotics and mechatronic systems. I have skills and knowledge that I’d like to share on a wide variety of topics such as programming, networking, electronic systems designs, operating systems, emerging technologies, and automation. The plan is to have a local club, and enter competitions and so forth…

Our Projects
We play with open-source hardware and software platforms and tools such as Raspberry Pi (all other Pi’s included), LattePanda, Arduino, IoT, Home Automation, Cloud Computing, Networking, 3D printing, Electronic and Mechanical CAD etc.
